Real-Time Support

We define comprehensive support as more than just assisting you after a computer crash. Our central IT Help Desk is available 7 days a week (Mon-Fri 6am to 10pm, Sat 10am to 7pm, and Sun 10am to 10pm) to assist you with not only troubleshooting and assisting with computer errors and emergencies, but also to offer you advice on how to work more effectively. You can even take advantage of the many tutorials featured online for self-serve answers and new ideas on what technology is worth checking out.

Safe Computing Online and Over Social Media

With the proliferation of cyberattacks, how can you keep your computer safe? How can you protect your identity and privacy while still remaining active on social media? What does it mean to be a good digital citizen? NOVA believes that safe computing means staying informed of best practices and putting them into action every time you login.

Ask a Librarian

Imagine having a librarian embedded directly into your online course, ready to assist you in finding critical resources to complete your assignments.  In addition to offering help face-to-face, NOVA creates Ask a Librarian content blocks within many of our courses to deliver customized resources and learning objects to students in the class.  Don’t have an Ask a Librarian module in your course?  No problem!  The NOVA librarians can be reached directly from their website.

Green Computing

Sustainable practices should be integrated into all of our practices – even in how we use technology. Learn more about what it means to be a green technologist and the NOVA resources that will help you save the planet with green computing.
